The Climate Card is your all-in-one ticket to exploring Seoul! This convenient transportation card grants unlimited access to public transport, including subways, buses, and even the Ttareungi (Seoul Bike) system, for 30 days after a one-time fare.

Where Can You Use the Climate Card?

Included:

  • Subway: Seoul-based lines, including the Gimpo Goldline

  • Buses: Seoul-licensed transit and town buses

  • Bikes: Ttareungi

Excluded:

  • Subway: Sinbundang Line and lines outside Seoul

  • Buses: Intercity, airport, and non-Seoul-licensed buses

Pro Tip: For buses, you can use the Climate Card on Seoul-licensed buses even if you're boarding or getting off outside Seoul. For subways, the card is not valid if your journey ends outside the designated service area.

Where to Buy and Charge the Climate Card:
  • Physical Cards: Purchase at Seoul Metro Information Centers (Lines 1 to 8), stations between Seoul Station and Cheongnyangni Station (Line 1), and convenience stores near subway stations (Line 9, Ui-Sinseol Line, and Sillim Line).

  • For International Tourists: Available at the Seoul Tourism Plaza Tourist Information Center and Myeong-dong Tourist Information Center.

Using the Climate Card:

Subway and Bus:

  • Simply tap your card (mobile or physical) to board and exit. Make sure NFC mode is enabled for mobile cards.

  • Important: Missing to tap out twice results in a 24-hour suspension of the card.

Ttareungi Bikes:

  • Register your card number on the Tmoney GO app to enjoy 2-hour bike passes during the card's validity.

Refunds:
Refunds = Total amount charged – Total used on public transportation – KRW 500 fee.
Refund requests must be made before the end of the usage period. Foreigners without a Korean bank account can visit Tmoney headquarters for a cash refund.
